
Ana Chubinidze
Ana Chubinidze is an illustrator, stop-motion animation director, and co-founder of Pocket Studio. She began her career working in Georgian publishing houses as an illustrator and pop-up book designer. In 2016, she directed her first animated short film, The Pocket Man, a co-production with the French studio Folimage and other partners. The film was selected by over 150 international festivals and received 22 awards.
In 2017, Ana founded Pocket Studio in Tbilisi. Her second film, Franzy’s Soup-Kitchen (2021), also created in co-production with Folimage, was recognized at numerous international festivals. Currently, she is working on new animation projects and together with her team, creates animated commercials and educational activities for children.
Ana is known for her ability to craft handmade worlds and for her distinctive visual storytelling style, which resonates with both children and adults alike.
She will lead the Stop-motion Animation course at the School of Design and Animation, where she will guide students through the process of turning their ideas into stop-motion animated films.
