Course Description:
This course covers the essential fundamentals needed for drawing. Students will explore both the theoretical foundations and the practical application of these skills. In addition to the basics of drawing, the course will dedicate time to developing and initiating personal projects. Students will discover practical techniques that make drawing more approachable and learn how to translate the ideas from their imagination onto the page. The course aims to build confidence, provide a clear starting path for beginners, and most importantly, help students connect with the creative magic of drawing.
Course Objectives and Learning Outcomes:
The course aims to introduce students to the fundamental principles of form and spatial construction, including line, shape, perspective, light and shadow, tonal value, color, and texture. It will help students develop spatial thinking, observation skills, and visual communication abilities, while also supporting the visual expression of their ideas in both academic and creative contexts.
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
- effectively use lines and forms for visual construction;
- build geometric and stylized forms in space;
- convey volume through the use of light, shadow, and tonal values;
- apply colors and color palettes with intention and understanding;
- visually develop different textures and materials;
- use references and the Master Study method to improve their artistic skills.

Adobe Photoshop or any other software suitable for digital drawing
