3D Animation - IV Module
In this module, students will be tasked with creating a complete scene or a scene excerpt that includes dialogue.
This course represents the fifth level of the modular 3D Animation program. In this module, students will be tasked with creating a complete scene or a scene excerpt that includes dialogue. They will source an audio clip and use it to develop a story, which they will then bring to life through animation. Throughout the module, students will gain hands-on experience in how animation production works and build sufficient knowledge to begin entering the industry independently.
Software Used During the Course: Autodesk Maya; any video editor such as Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or others; SyncSketch.
Minimum Requirements:
- A mid-range computer that meets Autodesk Maya system requirements
- Three-button mouse
- Keyboard with numpad
Format: Online Sessions
Prerequisite: Completion of the 3D Animation I module or a Fundamentals of 3D Animation course is required. Alternatively, applicants must present a relevant animation portfolio.

About Instructor
Misho is a 3D animator who began his career as a 3D designer. He later moved into commercial animation and motion design and is currently working on a multi-episode animated series as a character animator. He received his animation education from outstanding industry professionals who have worked at studios such as Disney, Sony, Weta and he is eager to share this knowledge with DAS students as well.
Misho will be the mentor of the modular 3D Animation course, which aims to first build students’ foundational understanding of animation and then gradually equip them with the skills and experience needed to work on a complete animated scene.
The course is assignment-based: with each completed task, students will strengthen their skills and move on to more complex challenges. By the end of the course, students will be able to bring a fully realized animated character to life and tell a story through animation. Throughout this process, Misho will share essential knowledge and provide continuous feedback to help students successfully complete every step.
