The aim of the course is to thoroughly study each stage of visual development.
The aim of the course is to thoroughly study each stage of visual development (briefing, style selection, character design, character rotation, item design, interior and exterior design, etc.). Within the course, students will create digital drawings in each direction, based on the examples and exercises. As a result, each student will receive a professional portfolio in Visual Development tailored to their individual needs, career goals and tastes.
Programs used during the course:
Adobe Photoshop or any digital drawing program that has the ability to export PSD files (eg Procreate, Krita, Clip Studio). Within the course, we will go through the functionality of the program on the example of Photoshop.
Minimum technical requirements:
Any combination of computer and tablet for digital drawing, or an iPad with a stylus, or any other Android tablet with a stylus.
Enrollment will be based on the submitted portfolio (AI-generated digital artworks will not be accepted).
Prerequisites:
Depending on the specifics of the course, it is necessary to know drawing and artistic fundamental skills at an average level.

About Instructor
Ana is a visual development mentor in animation. Her story is quite intriguing; she transitioned from a six-year career in marketing to 2D animation and has been collaborating with animation studios for seven years. She has experience in art direction for 2D animations across short films, feature films, and series formats.
Each stage in 2D animation, whether it's character design, environments, or the style in which it is developed, requires knowledge of different drawing fundamentals and their practical application. Animation artistry offers many exciting directions, and the more you delve into each one, the more diverse your employment opportunities become.
Ana will help you bring your characters to life, design character-specific environments, and build a VisDev portfolio tailored to your personal goals.
